Dress Code

This Dress Code is the expected standard for all students and parents at all functions associated with Olivet Private School.  Olivet Private School is a Christian school, operated according to Scriptural standards.  It is expected that students and parents will exercise discretion and modesty regarding the selection of clothing.  Clothing which draws inappropriate attention will not be allowed. 

Applicable to All Olivet Functions:

This standard is for males and females, students and parents.

  • No strapless garments - two straps are required, one over each shoulder
  • No bare midriffs, front or back
  • No top that shows cleavage
  • Appropriate undergarments must be worn
  • No undergarments should be showing
  • Skirts and dresses are to be no shorter than 4 inches above the knee when standing
  • Shorts and skorts are to have a minimum of 4-inch inseam
  • Tights, leggings, and yoga pants must be accompanied by a long top or tunic
  • Swimsuits are to be one piece for females and no brief styles for males
  • No articles of clothing containing slogans not in accordance with Olivet’s Code of Conduct or Statement of Faith

 Scriptures in regard to principles of dress code:
